For products labelled as above. It is not currently confirmed that these masks meet the FFP2 technical certificate requirements of  BS EN149:2001+A1:2009 for Respiratory protective devices - Filtering half masks to protect against particles, requirements, testing, marking or PPE. We therefore cannot recommend these masks for use with any particular purpose other than face protection or as general dust masks . Companies or individuals must do their own risk assessment for the intended use. Like all masks they must be fitted and used correctly to be effective. As we are unable to confirm the designation of FFP2 we have attached our own label to notify users of this non-compliance.

The CE certificate provided is from an Italian approved organisation which our checks show is authorised to certify under EN 200/54/EC for the protection of workers from risks related to exposure to biological agents at work.

The data sheet provided claims that these masks have been tested to N95. According to the USA NIOSH the N95 respirator is the most common of the seven types of particulate filtering face piece respirators. Certified N95 products filter at least 95% of airborne particles but are not resistant to oil. We cannot verify that this product is N95

The UK the Government rules on PPE are currently being changed to help fast track approval of imported masks due to  the Coronavirus crisis. We are working with the British Standards Institute and British Safety Industry Federation in understanding the new PPE rules and if we establish compliance to the European and British standard EN 149 we will update our website accordingly if this product can be rated as PPE in the future.
